Lives Less Ordinary at Two Temple Place

In 2025, Museum as Muck supported Lives Less Ordinary: Working-Class Britain Re-seen, an exhibition at Two Temple Place that celebrated the richness, complexity and diversity of working-class life and creative expression from the 1950s to today.

In December 2020 Museum as Muck and the team working on the Mayor's Commission for Diversity in the Public Realm facilitated an open online discussion on working class representation in London's public spaces.

Space exchange

2021 sees Museum as Muck partner on a new inter-generational mentoring programme led by Space Invaders, the campaign group of feminists in museums and heritage.

Supermuckers intervention

At the 2018 Museums Association conference in Belfast, Museum as Muck devised and produced an intervention asking conference delegates to examine their own class privilege.

Working class tea party

We hosted a Working Class Tea Party at the British Museum’s National Programme Conference in 2019. Workshop facilitators sit around a table with tea and (broken) biscuits, discussing class in a relaxed and open way.
