Michael Irwin
Learning and engagement
London
After 10 years in the creative sector, Michael is the Assistant Curator for Late at Tate, London. Founded on the idea of opening up gallery and museum spaces to those with least access to the arts through the democratisation of museum collections, this position exemplifies the way access and inclusion has been threaded through the entirety of his practice. Past roles have included working in different museum departments such as curatorial, events production and learning. Michael is a visible advocate for working class creatives and audiences, as well as a co-chair of Tate’s Parent and Carers network.
