Kathleen is a freelance curator with 10 years’ experience in museums of all sizes. She was part of the Museums Association’s Transformers: Diversify 2017 cohort, developing skills in influencing, activism and change-making. She applied to the programme with a focus on class, believing that the subject was too often left out of the diversity conversation. She is a vocal advocate for working class voices in museums, having written about how, lacking the financial support, family connections and self-assurance of her middle class peers, she struggled to establish a career in the sector.
